Good to go! Portland’s chief public health inspector gives KFC outlet the green light

Food from the KFC outlet in Port Antonio, Portland, is now safe for consumption, according to the parish’s chief public health inspector, Lorenzo Hume.

He said that fears by the public of a rat infestation at the restaurant are unfounded, as a team from the Public Health Department inspected the facility and reported that the location is safe.

Hume said the fast-food franchise confirmed that the restaurant is the one seen in a social media video that has been making the rounds. In that clip, a rodent is seen running on top of the menu board.

He said the franchise blocked the hole that the rat entered the facility through.
